Well you're not gonna believe it
WELL a ton of wild stuff has happened this week!!
Unfortunately my man Elder Hollman had special changes this week, he went to Renca :,( man I was so sad but hey Elder Carrizo came to Batuco where elder Hollman was. Him and I were in the same zone when I was in the pincoya, and he's a good guy so we're gonna see how that gooeees.
TwO Elder Gonzalez and Elder Poulson were having lots of problems with violence and some wild people in their sector SO today they moved in with us. WooHoo. We are giving them a part of our sector for the next two weeks and they are going to work here until they get assigned to a new sector.
and THREE Rao got baptized this week.
Rao Pino is a young man that has been coming to church for a while. He investigated the church a long time ago with his parents and made lots of friends, but then started working with his family on Sundays and couldn't come to church. He showed up in church one day because he was no longer going to work Sundays and wanted to be a member of the church. Teaching him was incredibly complicated because of some things that wouldn't really let us work a whole lot with him, but after many weeks and lots of prayers, Rao was able to be baptized. We are so happy to have met him and right before his baptism, him and I were talking about music. I asked what kind of music he liked, and he told me that he liked all kinds, he mostly just tries to listen to a lot of it because when he goes on his mission he won't be able to listen to it anymore.
Speaking of converts going on their missions, yesterday we did a family home evening and the middle of the three girls we baptized last transfer (Pia) told us that she is going to be a missionary. We asked her why she wanted to be one, and she said, "because i figger it'll be dope preaching the word of God"
So we are being incredibly blessed, I know that my life and my family is being blessed by my service, as well as everyone we are in contact with. Christ leads his church.
I love you guys take care ok steer clear of sketchy folk

Hey all (so sorry about this)
Well I am without time so I just want to say that this week was great
Last night we were teaching the plan of salvation to a convert (Gloria) and her friend (Cecilia) and her friend's son walked over (17yrs) and said "I want to be baptized." This is a timid kid that really does not talk to us a lot, but just a little miracle we had. We also put a family of four with a baptismal date this week, we are seeing lots of fruits of our work. I love being out here and even though some days are difficult, every day is worth it. I love the people and I love the work, but more than anything I love the gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us the opportunity EVERY DAY and as many times as we need to return to the flock, without mattering how far away we are. I know that we need a savior, and that our savior is Jesus Christ.
Revelations 20:11-12
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

UGH
WELP this week i am gonna share what happened to us actually in the week.
So hear me out
bear with me i'm just a human bean
so
what happened is that we were teaching a family for a while, and this week the mom freaked out and asked us to not come back.
she has been having some problems and stresses out very easily, and since we asked a lot of her (for her to read and pray and go to church,) she felt like it was too much and from one moment to another asked for us to not come back
and that was honestly really hard for me because they were my favorite family and were really moving forward, earlier in the week we had a miracle that happened with her and we were sure things were going to work out, but as they say in chile "the devil always sticks in his little tail" and things went south surprisingly quickly, but I testify that the Lord works miracles. Even though we lost her this week, we are surrounded by other people who are more prepared and more dedicated to learning about the restored gospel and achieving their eternal salvation. I love this work because even though, like this week, things are just so HARD i wish there was a thing on the keyboard that could make the word hard look even harder than that because that's just almost as hard as this week was
even though things are hard he will bless us more and more if we just keep trusting him and trying our best
I will admit that for a couple hours it was just heartbreaking and all i could think about, but life is about change and new oportunities, and my job isn't to cry about the people we lose, but to cry with the people who are with us, and help them move forward in this path that the Lord has put in place for us
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's kingdom on the earth, and that he has an unlimited love for us, that is ALWAYS there. He will never leave us alone, he will never leave. It is our choice to be with him or not. I love you all and hope you do your best to have a great week this week, you guys really do make the difference-

group email por alli
HEy all !! This week was a really good one. This was the first week of the new transfer and HIP hop HoorAY Elder Santander and I are staying together another transfer yes or yes !! So we are excited and we also had a lot of changes in the zone. This week on average in the zone we found 14 new people to teach. We are working our hardest to keep moving, find new people to replace the people that we need to give a little bit more time. We are seeing lots of changes and I know the Lord is helping us with every second of our work. I love the mission and I know we are in his work here, he needs us here and we need him. I'll share a scripture i read this week in Romanos
Fetch that's in Spanish but throw it in translator or look it up in your scriptures and have a great week!! God loves you guys !!
Elder McCurdy
(the scripture is Romans 13:11-12)
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
